Whimsy Finder's role

Whimsy Finder is a platform that helps wooden-puzzle collectors find and contact one another.

Whimsy Finder does not currently process payments, hold funds, arrange shipping, provide buyer or seller protection, issue refunds or resolve disputes.

Buyers and sellers communicate and make their transaction arrangements directly with each other.

Rules for sellers

If you sell a puzzle through Whimsy Finder, you must:

• Own the puzzle or have authority to sell it.
• Describe it honestly and accurately.
• Provide photographs of the actual puzzle being offered.
• Accurately disclose its condition.
• Select the appropriate completeness declaration and disclose any known missing pieces.
• Clearly state the asking price and currency, and provide an accurate country or general location.
• Mark the puzzle Sold or Withdraw the listing when it is no longer available.

You must not list stolen, counterfeit, fraudulent, deliberately misleading or unlawful items.

Guidance for buyers

Before agreeing to buy a puzzle, you should:

• Read the listing carefully.
• Ask questions or request further photographs where needed.
• Confirm the puzzle's condition and completeness.
• Agree payment, postage or shipping costs, and tracking arrangements with the seller.
• Use sensible payment and scam precautions described in our Buying & Selling Safely guidance.

Whimsy Finder does not verify every buyer, seller, puzzle, listing or transaction. Please make your own careful checks before proceeding.

Treat people fairly

Buyers and sellers must not use Whimsy Finder for fraud, spam, harassment, abusive behaviour, deception or unlawful activity.

Messages should relate to a genuine interest in a listed puzzle and should remain respectful.

Marketplace moderation

Whimsy Finder may review marketplace activity. We may withdraw or remove listings or enquiries that appear inappropriate, misleading, suspicious, unlawful or inconsistent with these Marketplace Rules.

About early access

Whimsy Finder is currently in early access. We're testing the marketplace with a small group of wooden puzzle collectors before opening it more widely. Features may change as we learn what works best, and parts of the service may occasionally be unavailable.

These Marketplace Rules may also be updated as Whimsy Finder develops. The current version will be published on this page.
